Create an Amazing Hiring Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As company leaders, we often consider how our customers experience our products and services.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rarely, however, do business leaders imagine what it\u2019s like for a candidate to apply for a job with their companies.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This lack of care for the candidate experience is a miss of epic proportions, says Alexis Pham, the celebrated Chief People Officer of Home Credit.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>\u201cFor me, if it\u2019s top talent hiring, then it\u2019s really about ensuring a good hiring experience,\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> shared Alexis, highlighting the need to treat top talent with respect for the time they invest to apply.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10182&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1920&#215;1080&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A great hiring experience means being transparent about the process, keeping in touch even if there is no news or decision yet, and letting people down gently if they are not chosen \u2013 you never know when you cross paths again. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maybe the best tip of all? Keep it short \u2013 because top talent could be gone quickly.<\/span>\r\n<h2><strong>2. Be Ready to Work for Your Candidate<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This may sound counter-intuitive, but if you want to hire the best, you better put some work into it.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jonah Levey, a recruiting expert and the founder of VietnamWorks, shared: <\/span><b>\u201c\u201cA players\u201d get multiple offers. Your challenge is to convince them to join your company and not another. It\u2019s important to inspire them with the future that your company is creating, its purpose and mission, and the impact they\u2019ll be making to achieve it.\u201d<\/b>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10180&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1920&#215;1080&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hiring top talent is the art of selling \u2013 you need to answer the question: why would someone want to work for you?<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jonah recommends reminding the candidate of this \u2018why\u2019 throughout the recruiting journey: <\/span><b>\u201cThis inspiring message should be woven into the job description and interviews. Remember, the onus is on you to sell the opportunity to them as much as it is on them to convince you to hire them.\u201d<\/b>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alexis builds on this by saying companies should<\/span><b> \u201caim to personalize job offers,\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where possible, at the end of that hopefully great hiring journey.
